According to Variety, 20th Century Fox’s film and TV studios are trying to take Jack Bauer to the big screen. This time, Jack is heading to Europe.

Script is said to have come through “24″ star Kiefer Sutherland, who’s also an exec producer on the series — and is said to be eager to turn the long-running TV skein into a feature franchise.

The creators of the show have been hinting at a possible big screen feature for some time now, and is still probably years away. We probably won’t hear much more on the subject until we know the fate of the TV series. Fox has yet to renew the show for a 9th season.
